#1 - They are SENSITIVE. Easily overtired, overly hangry, in tune with other's moods.

#2 - They generally keep it together at school and let ALL the BIG feels out with you at home.

#3 - They have fits of rage + "Alter Ego" Anger. It's like their eyes glaze over + they turn into someone (or something) else and nothing gets through to them in that state.

#4 - Their anger is expressed physically at an older age than their peers.  Because their emotions are so BIG, they'll kick or hit still quite often (at home most often) at age 4-6.

#5 - They're very smart, verbal and expressive, yet revert to NOISES rather than words when they don't get what they want.

#6 - Vulnerability is painful, so they have a hard time admitting when they're wrong or apologizing.

#7 - EVERYTHING is a BIG deal. No matter how dramatic or irrational it seems, their reactions are genuine.

#8 - They're obsessed with fairness, and can appear ungrateful or egocentric.

#9 - They appear clingy or regress back to toddler behavior, needing help with things you know they can do independently.

#10 - You can't seem to get ahead of the next MELTDOWN. You're walking on eggshells waiting for the next time their unspoken expectations come crashing down to reality.

#11 - They question everything. There's not enough logic, reasoning or explanation that's going to change their mind.  They're still going to find room to negotiate.

#12 - They live life on their own time, taking FOREVER to get their shoes on, buckles on, go through the bedtime routine...

#13 - They get stuck in a gear. It's not fair. They won't move on or get over it. They keep asking or whining or begging.
